The organic, intuitive style of songwriting that Koto has makes her music highly unique and engaging. During her first sessions with Percussionist Rachel, she found that the rhythmic voice that was trying to come out, in her found a channel. Since being joined by Violinist Tim, each realm of the music has found it's place, and the creation of a sound that harks back to the past and pushes into the future has been born. Rachels experimental rhythms and Tims atmospheric, yet rustic, violin enrich and expand Kotos music to express the depths of texture that have until now lain dormant. There is a certain timelessness to the music, almost a dream-like state that lures listeners into a reverie of unusual comfort, yet with words that keep the mind alert and questioning.
