Bred in Brisneyland, Kyotone formed in 2003 while we were all in year 10 after many years of members mucking around on their respective instruments. Wil Logan has been playing the drums since he was nine years old and his amazing skills and his free flowing, energetic style is the band's highlight. James's love for powerful riffs, such as in Queen and ACDC, and Will Rowles's metal interests shown in bands such as Tool and Karnivool has influenced unconventional chord progressions and a drive to produce music that is different from mainstream styles, but still enjoyable for the general public. Each member of the band is at University (Andrew Crofton is currently studying medicine), however, our love for music usually results in us listening to more music than studying in the exam period. Kyotone is hoping to release a record some day as our lack of focus on playing covers together has resulted in a wide range of self written material. The band has also attempted to write songs
