Previously known as The Villas, Kyowa have re-launched themselves into the Melbourne music scene with their ambitious 30-minute debut EP, Under Wellington. The EP reflects the new and exciting direction the band is taking and is filled with a completely unheard repertoire of songs. Featuring a raw guitar taste bouncing of an undeniable rhythm section, Kyowa's eclectic organic sound is complimented by a savage piano tone scarcely heard in today's scene. Crafted over many years together, Kyowa grace the stage and pulsate a prowess that leaves you lost in time. Drawing all the way from the psychedelic groove of Blind Melon, through the rock of The Presidents of the United States of America and Pearl Jam, to the timeless soul of Sly and the Family Stone, Kyowa infect you with a sound completely fresh and new.
