La Tanika (La Tan-eek-kar) are a 4 piece band originating from the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, banding together in early 2017 (Matthew Ferguson- lead guitar, Matt Colvin- drums, Dane Sorensen- bass and Jay Pollock- vocals, keys) through the love of bands such as The Strokes, The Killers and Interpol. With their tracks packed with dark but honest lyrics, ear-worm riffs and radio ready hooks, and their high energy live shows, La Tanika are quickly making their name in the Melbourne music scene as an upcoming act to keep an eye on.
