Celebrating his 20th anniversary in 2024, country music singer-songwriter Lance Friend has stamped his brand on the Australian country music industry since the first time he stepped on stage. His breakthrough on the radio and in live performances around Australia with his band "Friends In No Places" began in 2004 when he released singles like "Just Met An Angel," "Don't Ring This Ringer," and "Longreach Sky." With the help of Brendan Radford, widely regarded as one of Australia's top producers, Lance dropped his debut solo effort, "The Album," in 2012. He reached a new professional high point with this record, which showcased his skill and love of country music. Lance has headlined and supported numerous concerts, festivals, and gigs across Australia. The Gympie Music Muster and the Airlie Beach Music Festival are among his most notable stage appearances. Noonamah Rodeo, Julia Creek Dirt n Dust, Bowen Fishing Classic, Central Queensland Bikes, Bulls, Buggies & Bands, and others have featured him as a headliner. In addition to his solo work, Lance has shared stages with other artists, including Joe Camilleri and The Black Sorrows, The Radiators, Dragon, James Blundell, and Brian Cadd. He has also supported Ross Wilson and Brian Cadd. With the single "Ned Kelly Said," which suggests that "There is a little bit of Ned in all of us," Lance triumphantly returned to the industry after a long hiatus in 2019. His triumphant return to the airways and major stages was heralded by this song and a slew of new compositions. In May 2024, Lance's much anticipated album "All Australian Made" will finally be available to the public, along with the new single "Missing You". To celebrate the official release, Lance Friend and his band will perform at launch events in Queensland and the Northern Territory, the latter of which will see Lance as the featured performer at the Noonamah Rodeo. Lance Friend's contributions to country music demonstrate his talent and devotion to the genre, and his music continues to resonate with audiences across Australia. You can always count on authentic country music when you tune in to Lance Friend.....real country, real music.
