Lankey came together in 2001, each of its members having played in various outfits throughout Adelaide. The chemistry was immediately apparent, and the songs issued forth relentlessly. As a band, the idea is not to be too serious, having a vast number of songs, some of which address such topics as: Cross Dressing, Criminals, Over-friendly dogs, Flashers, and Loving your Mum, although there are SOME serious songs. Lankey are looking forward to the next project, having recorded a CD not long ago, (in a loungeroom,) who knows what these Aussie larrikins will come up with next?!?!
