Hailing from the picturesque Adelaide Hills and formed out of the ashes of Fat and Ugly, Atomic Candy Wheel and The Brians; Lard Bucket is the new combined project of Matt, Dan and Rich. Lard Bucket tries to keep a simple 3 piece approach with a raw sound and lots of energy. Being heavily influenced by 90's grunge and punk we draw influence and inspiration from bands such as Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth, Deftones, Rage Against the Machine and Kyuss. Here's the story: Matt (Guitar/vocals) used to be in a grunge/rock band in Darwin called 'Fat and Ugly', which played the Darwin scene for about 4 years between 1997 and 2001. Rich (drums) played with a punk outfit called 'Atomic Candy Wheel' in Darwin about the same time. Meanwhile Dan (bass) played in a band on the Mornington Peninsular called 'The Brians'. As fate would have it everyone ended up in South Australia. Dan and Matt both found themselves in a quaint little country town called Strathalbyn They discovered they
