From growing up listening to rock icons including Bon Jovi and Guns ‘n Roses, to studying Western Art music throughout secondary school, music has always been an integral part of Larisa Jacono’s life. From the tender age of fourteen, Larisa has been writing music exploring the human condition and psyche, drawing inspiration from novels and films, as well as her own past experiences. Her distinct musical style is influenced by a multitude of artists predominantly in the indie and alternative realm, including Phoebe Bridgers, Matt Maeson, Matt Maltese, Lorde, and Lana del Rey. In saying this, it was the works of romantic and 20th century composers such as Tchaikovsky, Chopin and Debussy which inspired her to continue with the pursuit of music and composition. Aside from music, Larisa is currently a pre-Law student studying a double major in Business Law and Economics.
