LARSEN is the alias for young, 19 year old Australian producer & DJ, Jacob Larsen. Jacob is enthusiastic of all genres, particularly enjoying listening to future bass, trap and chill tracks in his spare while, while head banging to dubstep in the clubs. Born in Perth, Jacob was brought up in a large extended family, which was heavily musically influencing. Some family influences include Joni In The Moon, Josh Hogan, and Sun City, all of which have been played on Triple J Unearthed.

Born in Perth, Jacob was brought up in a large extended family, which was heavily musically influencing. Some renowned and noticeable family influences stem from SUN CITY (@listentosuncity), Joni in the Moon (@joni-in-the-moon) and Josh Hogan (@rustyjoe), all of which have received national and international recognition for their productions. Jacob began his musical background at the early age of 9 learning piano at his primary school for around 5 years until he was 14. This young learning of piano really set the foundations for his understanding of music theory and sound design. Another great stepping stone for Jacob’s musical journey was attending the Noize Maker Academy run by Josh Hogan, his cousin, who is an authorised and certified Ableton Trainer, where he took part in the Beatmaker 1 course. After months more of dedicated time and handwork, Jacob began to excel in his song productions, before deciding to attend the Comprehensive DJ Course run by Lab Six Academy.
