Alrighty! As I grew up, I was lucky enough to listen to a massive range of music and can love great art no matter the genre. Music is such a release, and sincere lyrics have the ability to transport you into the mind of the writer in a truly visceral way – and I appreciate the magic in that. My first song, ‘Dangerous,’ is an exploration of the difficulties associated with domestic abuse and how difficult it can be for a victim to stand up for themselves when they are so relentlessly beaten down physically and emotionally. Hopefully these lyrics can empower someone to believe how valuable and important they are, and that anyone who says otherwise is a toxic influence they’re better off without. The dream? A simple home studio surrounded by people who love singing and making great art as much as I do. -Laura-May
