If you’ve ever been a few brews deep at a BBQ and been talking to a music-loving mate, inevitably the idea of starting to make music together comes up. For Louis and Llewellyn, the two halves of Queensland electronic/hip-hop act LAVANDA, that conversation at a BBQ turned into reality. From there the pair quickly gained a cult online following, with their triple j Unearthed uploads reaching the Unearthed charts, and they’re ready to share their debut project, HILLS, with the world. LAVANDA make music for the 90s kids that never quite exited their childhood, but still give adulting a red-hot crack. They’re influenced by the likes of Flume, Monte Booker, Mac Miller, Smino, Tom Misch and Kevin Parker, and if you’re ever wanting to challenge them to a game of Super Smash Brothers, they’ll wipe the floor with you. Growing up is overrated, especially when you know the secret to dominating a free-for-all with Ganondorf. https://linktr.ee/_lavanda_
