In his return to a scene he was once more familiar with, Lazy J makes a statement by releasing a 10 track project. Gone a Minute Too Long takes us on a journey through J’s trials and tribulations of life which caused him to step away from the music game. Spending its debut week in the top 10 iTunes Hip Hop charts, the mixtape was curated in a matter of months, having Lazy put an end to his furniture removal business to focus entirely on music. The theme to the project highlights the difference between waking up and making money to waking up to focus on doing what makes you happy. In this circumstance, Lazy finds himself in his return to music which is portrayed in the body of art, ‘Gone a Minute Too Long’.
