'A Room Of One's Own', the debut album of Le Pie, out 13 November 2020. Indie pop songstress Le Pie sat in her Newtown bedroom in 2015, feeling overwhelmed by the responsibilities of being a wife, mother, business owner and an indie musician trying to hit her stride. Within these walls she penned the opening track for her debut album, ‘A Room Of One’s Own’. Written over five years, Le Pie’s debut album chronicles the complications of a marriage in crisis and its eventual dissolution. It explores themes of love, heartbreak, betrayal, sexual identity, mental illness and ultimately a battle with the acceptance of oneself. “I started writing this album not knowing it would become an album. It quite literally chronicles the five years of watching my marriage unravel, the heartbreak and grief associated with losing the person you love and the slow rebuilding of my life and myself afterwards.” Taken from the same name as Virginia Woolf’s essay, Le Pie’s debut album is a homage to Woolf’s
