Le Veins are a rock band from Newcastle, on the East Coast of Australia. The band formed by Mitch Storck (guitars), Jay Smith (drums) and Ian Sanders (vocals) who were, at the time, in notable bands in the local scene. Wanting something more energetic, something louder and abrasive without the usual angst, they caught up in a basement rehearsal space in Newcastle to test out these ideas - Liking what they heard, they needed a bass player - they recruited Ryan Stuart, a multi instrumentalist from the local scene, to fill out the back line. A few shows in, life took over and the band went on hiatus. The boys formed other bands, focused on careers in design, teaching, and opened a barbershop. Many king moons passed, around 10 years to be precise, the guys decided to catch up in that dingy rehearsal space, armed with new music and with the original songs still sounding as fresh and relevant as the decade earlier, it was an easy decision to reform the band. And with that said, Le Veins
