Pipina Leanna Tarros known as “Leanna” is a singer/songwriter from Brisbane Australia. “Music has always been a part of my life”, being surrounded by music at home. Leanna begun playing piano and writing songs during her high school years and has developed into a confident songwriter. Her music can be described as “piano pop” with lyrics that show true emotion. In late 2008, Leanna recorded her debut EP “Shattered Dreams” at Purple Sound Studios in Cairns. “Shattered Dreams” has been described as having “strong lyrics, with powerful and simply sweet vocals” (2009, North Lakes Messenger). Also in that year, Leanna co-wrote with San Diego rapper St8ment with the release of “Leaving” that year as a rough demo on the EP and “Can't Breathe” to be released in the near future. Recently more guitar has been incorporated into her songs to give them that “pop/ rock” feel. In 2010, Leanna has recorded "Alternative Ending" which shows an edgier side to her music.
