BORN IN A METAL FACTORY, OUT OF A ZIEGFELD DREAM, A CRYSTAL QUEEN. METAL HEARTS, WONDER AND GLEAM. Since her dreamy beginnings singing Brigitte Bardot and Edith Piaf in burlesque bars around Sydney, Leanne Russo has travelled far and wide, collaborating with hip-hop producers and supporting acts such as Dune and Kira Puru and the Bruise. Now with a gleaming arsenal of original releases she’s set to bring her defined and evolved sound to a new audience. Leanne has performed to packed crowds at Sydney’s Arthouse Hotel, The Beresford, Oxford Art Factory and The Big Day Out Festival and her stage presence can only be described as positively magnetic, infusing dazzling modern beats with an old school, Ziegfield-romantic flair. With a variety of line-up options, from an accompanying DJ to full live band, her strong and eclectic visage drives every set." http://www.youtube.com/user/LeanneRusso upcoming gig: 'Plans the fundraiser'music soiree. @ a/c warehouse, Marrickville. 7pm.
