Leisure Drive are an alternative rock band from the Gold Coast that utilise their blatantly evident passion and motivation to produce raw, energetic and eclectic sounds. Their first release, Show Me How, provides an introduction to the band in appropriate fashion as it captures the essence of Australiana and the longing for its homely and familiar embrace. Lyrically, this longing is encompassed by an increasingly relevant concern for the shifting social and economic climate within Australia, empathetically targeting the uncertain impacts on the youth of tomorrow. Show Me How is reinforced by an amalgamation of gritty yet beautifully melodic guitar lines, raw and impassioned vocals and a driving rhythm that is accentuated by a distinct, punchy bass line to deliver an enthusiastic start for these newcomers.
