Leo is an acoustic pop/folk artist, multi-instrumentalist, and singer-songwriter based in Melbourne, Australia. The talented artist is poised to make an impact on the scene with his authentic sound and style stemming from the traditional folk. Through his narrative storytelling, Leo radiates raw emotion with captivating acoustic instrumentation. The quickly rising artist seeks to connect intimately through his sometimes unadorned lyricism with listeners around the world and help go through life’s peaks and valleys by simply keeping company. Influenced by the greats of wordsmanship and songwriting, like Lou Reed, John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and many more, Leo will have listeners immerse in the musical world he creates with his lyrical realism and distinctive musical style. LEO is an acoustic folk singer-songwriter based in New South Wales, Australia. Since releasing her debut single ‘Daniel’ in 2015 she has gained national and international attention and become a local favourite. With a rich enchanting voice, skilful guitar playing and a demanding presence, LEO uses sophisticated songwriting to bring dark topics to light. This has lead her to receive a scholarship, support established artists such as ARIA award nominated Imogen Clark, perform at huge events such as Falls Festival and be mentored by Harts; the Australian multi-instrumentalist discovered by Prince. LEO now lives and travels in her van, bringing her brand of gorgeously raw and authentic music to the east coast.

2023 saw Leo emerge with an incredible 4 piece band, to complete the atmospheric heavy nature of ‘Doctor’, ‘Half Unconscious’, ‘Rough Hands’ and upcoming releases. Known for their piercingly honest style of songwriting that has earned an abundance of praise through singles ‘Doctor’, ‘Half Unconscious’ and ‘Rough Hands’, Naarm-based songwriter Leo has now released their long anticipated debut EP ‘Please Leave Quietly’, alongside lead single ‘Tendencies’. 2023 saw Leo play alongside indie royalty Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Eaglemont, The Lazy Susans, Tamara and the Dreams and many other AU favourites. LEO is a gorgeously authentic independent artist with a powerful presence and wicked sense of humour.
