Hinterland Haze is the debut album from Life Is A Myth. Recorded the good old fashioned way (with acoustic instruments and microphones) this body of work contrasts my previous electronic music endeavours. The intention was to create a timeless piece of work. Drenched in summer-soaked nostalgia and written on an acoustic guitar on various balconies around the Tweed and Gold Coast, breathing in the breeze from the sub-tropical hinterlands to pristine beaches, Hinterland Haze is a symbol of my love for this part of the East Coast of Australia. - Life is A Myth is a Gold Coast based music producer and songwriter (the name comes from an expansion on his first name L I A M). He can be seen performing on the piano and with his unique multi-instrumental looping rig called the “tropical piano groove machine”. He has toured around Australia from the tropics, to the cities, to the beaches, to the Snowy Mountains, and has opened for legends like Thirsty Merc. He has also performed in Sweden, Spain, Turkey and Argentina. Come say g'day at the next gig! Life Is a Myth also writes, records and performs on keys with two other Gold Coast bands, psych-rockers Selve and funk-lords HEAVY WAX.
