Lighthouser is iridescent lap-pop with crystal clear melodies and slice-of-life lyrics. Sole member James Gales, a.k.a. cult internet artist Jim Nopédie, draws on a virtuosic background in classical piano, as well as the rich history of emo synthpop artists like The Postal Service, Björk and Passion Pit, to make songs for imaginary Nintendo games, retrofuturist daydreams, and bike riding around your Midwest US small town circa 2004. His debut 2020 EP “A Kilo of Feathers” demonstrated his unusual knack for colourful and world-building production, with songs as evocative as they are catchy. Contact: lighthousermusic@gmail.com
