Have you ever wondered what it feels like to have something you can’t live without? That’s music for us. It could be as simple as a tune and we are hooked. Music is something we love, it something we wouldn’t be the same without. My name is Lisa Khouri and I am submitting a song with my friend Sydrael Fajardo. We are both presently 15 years old and attend Our Lady of Mercy College, Parramatta, in Sydney. Since we were kids, music has always been a second nature to us. As we have grown up, we have used our passion derived from our talent to connect with the community as much as possible. Together we performed at the pre-show for Sydney Symphony’s ‘Symphony under the stars’ concert in 2017. I sang solo with Sydrael playing the violin in the selective chamber ensemble. Last week, we performed at Sydney Opera House for the ‘Night of Australia China’ concert. We both are professional musicians, performing at wedding ceremonies and other formal events.
