Little Cents is a contemporary originals folk band based in the Hunter's creative heartland of Newcastle in NSW. The band was initially founded as a duo by the multi-talented guitarist and recording artist Jason Winn and the exquisite vocalist and ukulele maestro Melissa Saunders. In latter years the pair combined with gifted keyboardist Paul Saunders and in-the-pocket drummer David "Bonzo" Beins to form the Little Cents ensemble delivering an eclectic mix of soaring tunes and tasty original tales which entertain the heart and nourish the soul. Songwriting is a collaboration between Jason's effortless musical sophistication and creative experience and Mel's laid-back whimsical North Queensland vibe. Over the years Little Cents has performed at public and private venues around Newcastle and beyond including music festivals like the St Albans and Kangaroo Valley Folk Festivals and the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
