Separated at birth, the twins hammer followed divergent paths, on opposite sides of the continent, before finally reuniting in Melbourne, 2009. In the intervening years, jonny dabbled in music and song writing, whilst pursuing a successful career in the visual arts as a painter, sculptor and filmmaker. A veteran of many years in the Melbourne music scene as a musician and producer, brother marty’s obsession with music led to the foundation of Wasteland studios in Collingwood in 2005. There, finally reunited in mid 2009, the twins rekindled the burning flame and trauma of their separation, pouring their disparate creative energies into the cauldron of angst that has become little miss x. marty felt an instant connection to brother jonny’s poetry, with its obsessive themes of sex and death, slamming them headlong into the oncoming express train of marty’s audio assault, the result is an explosive powder keg, welding jonny’s devastating words to marty’s furious electro heavy metal
