In the summer of 2008 high school friends Woodie Baker and Adam Higgins began playing music in the garage of the family home in one of Melbourne’s inner suburbs. Woodie on bass and Adam on drums recruited older brother Daniel Higgins as lead vocalist and guitarist and so Lives of Others formed. Lives of Others see themselves as an alternative rock pop band taking inspirations for their songs from real life experiences and people. Between work, study and collaborating together on weekends and long nights Lives of Others wrote their songs and music. Influenced by current genres of folk, rock and indie their favourite artists are Mason Jennings and Elliot Smith, favourite bands are Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Rolling Stones, Kings of Leon, The Smiths and Maximo Park.
