I think it reminds me of family vacations growing up. i'm from a small town called Newcastle (which is also by the water), just outside of Sydney Australia. I love city lights, and people watching so I spend a lot of my time now in Sydney, but have a ridiculous obsession with my family so I migrate back to my home town constantly. I hate when someone you know becomes someone you knew. I've had my heart broken and broken hearts. I love to write songs that seem to directly address one person in my life.
