LMDNA is the primary solo musical project of Liam Downey, a composer, performer, recording engineer and producer based in Perth. His music under this name is a shapeshifting mass of digital maximalism - sometimes abrasive, sometimes danceable, often a mix of both. Though the songs wield a whirlwind of artifice and intangibility, there is a guarded emotional sincerity at the core of the practice. Liam completed a bachelors degree in Music Composition and Technology at WAAPA in 2022, and has since been working as a freelance producer, engineer, performer, and general musical collaborator around Perth ever since.
