Growing up, longing wrote and performed music inspired by that which was most accessible to him; the internet, myspace and the angst soaked alt-rock, neon pop and emo-centric songs on repeat in his room. From a start sharing stages with Tonight Alive and working with Dylan Nash (Dean Lewis, Gretta Ray & Shannen James), to a feature on Toasted TV and the pages of Blunt Magazine, it was clear that, despite a proclivity to avoid the spotlight, longing had a knack for connecting with audiences worldwide. As longing, he’s tapping into global audiences via Soundcloud, running up 100,000+ streams across the platform, with a sound ubiquitous in the rooms of those who follow him. Taking cues from genre-melding artists such as nothing,nowhere., Lil Lotus & Blackbear, longing dreams of creating music without boundaries, inspired by the nostalgia of his childhood, soaked in the emotion of heartbreak and written with the talent and passion of one with a necessity to create.
