There's that special moment in music, when the melody takes an unexpected turn, or the harmonies shift and explode, or the lyrics perfectly encapsulate the sentiment, and you feel it. That's LUSH. Every so often, something special happens on stage. All the planets align, and we look at each other and smile, and we know we've Found It. For the last two years we've been making music and developing our sound as a duo, mainly with covers, mainly in front of live audiences. Now we want to share our quest with you

LOOKING FOR LUSH are duo Anna Davidson and Jotham Kingston from the Mid North Coast of NSW. We met as teachers at a local high school and 'clicked' musically. We''ve been performing together for a few years and when Covid hit we chose to step away from covers and record some original material. Jotham plays drums, guitar, bass, keys and will have a shot at just about any instrument he can get his hands on. He spent his early years in Papua New Guinea, hearing ‘Islander chords’ and something about the sound stuck. Anna's passion for harmony and voice started at an early age, through involvement in choirs, and singing along with A cappella recordings, looking for the missing notes in the beautiful chords. She is currently running a school choir. Lyrics are highly important to her, as they carry the soul of the song, and tell the story that the music carries along.
