Lopha are an original song writing duo. Comprising the vocal stylings of London born Lily Flax and Geelong boy Topher Gibson on the Guitar. They have been writing and performing under various guises for the past three years. Their biggest success to date is the infamous garage punk band, Trough Lollies, whose songs have received national and international airplay. They are now ready to take a departure from punk back to their roots of Blues and Folk. Fiercely original, Lopha’s very personal, inspiring and sometimes political songs will make you think, laugh and cry, while their infectious melodies are guaranteed to get your toes tappin’. It’s difficult to pigeon hole the Lopha sound, which combines elements of Folk, Pop and Blues. Lopha take great pride in the music that they produce, as their songs expresses issues very close to their hearts. They have already played a few gigs as Lily and Topher, and are now ready to bring the Lopha sound to the world.
