Lord Esme are a four-piece Sydney pop band making a name for themselves with their eclectic sound and playful approach to music. Mixing pop, rock, and folk influences, their music is filled with humour, heart, and a love of shandies and cardigans. Live shows feature everything from indie ballads to energetic rockers, including saxophone solos that are considered by many to be sax crimes. Lord Esme’s debut album (A Nice Sit Down) is out now on legendary indie label Half A Cow Records. In February 2024, A Nice Sit Down was the Album of the Week on 2SER radio in Sydney and 4ZZZ radio in Brisbane. “A truly impressive debut and a new darling for jangly twee-pop fans.” - Jangle Pop Hub “The album is a charming jangle-pop instant-classic” - 2SER (Album of the week review) “Jangly and sweet in all the right places.” - 4ZZZ (Album of the week review)
