If work and caring for my children is my body then music and poetry is my breath. The pressure of time is always on me, I run circles of errands and duties throughout the busy week of a working single mother. Thr crucible of the feminine, I call it, and while often exhausting, I know it is quite 'normal'. There is no musician's lifestyle here, the demands of daily life exlude travel or any movement too far outside of my orbit of energy expense. The music I make and the effort of its making is my joyful rage. On the stage of my life, the script seems written, but here in my songs I subvert it, and the story submits to a wedge of chance.
