Lou Millar is a Sydney based singer-songwriter, poet, and multi-instrumentalist. Lou has carved herself out as a voice to be listened to, with an unmistakably ethereal voice. She creates ‘ghost folk’ a unique blend of the folk/soul/acoustic genre(s). As a solo musician she has released four albums, EP and single over the last five years. Her fourth solo album, Affection, is a synthesis of immeasurable grief and speaks about mental illness, love, intention. I want the album to be powerful, harrowing, provoking but ultimately relatable; like a harsh truth that inevitably brings understanding to the listener. Affection is set to be released independently in late 2020. Over her career Lou has worked across a range of musical projects, including as one half and the singer for Twin Caverns, an electronic, trip-hop duo based out of NSW.
