Long drives, sunsets and low lights. Music to drive to. Low Beams is a Sydney-raised producer and DJ who creates music that fuses hip-hop, funk, electronica and R&B. His music is reminiscent of the hard-hitting beats and sonic textures of artists such as Kaytranada, Mura Masa and Toro Y Moi. Low Beams’ strong musical pedigree has allowed him to reinvent, collaborate and step out in his own right. Formerly one part of Chillwave duo Polographia, he has gained vast production and touring experience with acts such as RUFUS, Jonti, Chrome Sparks, Winston Surfshirt, and Bag Raiders. Low Beams effortlessly absorbs influences and connects with artists of different backgrounds to bring their voice to the fore, a reflection of his own background growing up in the culturally fluid neighbourhoods of Sydney’s inner west. This combined with a sonic curiosity, forged through endless weekends and late nights listening to and creating music, has helped to shape his unique sound.
