Formed in 2005 from the foundations of Melbourne’s revered pub rock scene, Snuz and Jazz were neighbours living in the heart of the city. Two guitarists who shared a love of all things rock and roll, after scratching together a few jams they knew exactly where their journey was leading. Snuz with his searing lead breaks and Jazz with his rockaholic riffs, this was the beginning of Lucifers Gift. “We need more players, this stuff needs to be heard”, the two agreed. Next to join the ranks of the damned was Lee. The bass player with infectious grooves brought a precision to the duo and formed the backbone of the band. The three now had the foundation on which to build their rock and roll monolith. Set solid in their passion to assault Melbourne’s live scene the Gift experimented with early formations of the band.
