Born in Sydney, raised in Townsville, now based in breezy Byron Bay, Luke Horsfield is a diamond. Self taught, he is master of acoustic percussive finger style guitar playing and a gifted composer. The magnificence of his original instrumental works stand alone audibly as an ideal recording artist. Visually, he is unique. His inherent grace and fluidity of movement bring something new to guitar: beauty. Multi-instrumental, Luke's musical genres are varied and extensive. Previously he played with band, 'Blake Noble and the Ninja Stars', currently he is with 'Groundswell'. However, it will be as a soloist and composer that Luke Horsfield will leave his mark on this world. With performances at the Wingham Akoostik Festival 2012, Brisbane 2High Festival 2012 and a headlining spot at the 2012 Woodstock Music & Lifestyle Festival, Luke is making his mark in the music industry as one of Australia’s most talented and innovative acoustic percussive finger style guitarists.
