Into the first 10 seconds of the first song the bass player Justin had jumped around like he was having a fit, then ran past the foldback he jumped up using the wall heater as a boost to leap 10 foot in the air to come crashing down with his bass smacking face down/ strings down into the lovely sticky Tiv carpet. This came as a bit of a surprise to Luke and I, as it was a love ballad….. no it wasn’t, just kidding! But his actions came at the expense of the bass line he was supposed to be playing, which sounded horrid. Hey, I sounded terrible too, I have to admit, but we had to go through our teething period. That night was euphoric though. I had my band and we were gonna go far!.... really?
