From the concrete pathways of Sydney's inner west, Mac the Knife have cultivated their distinctive sound which is as strong as their following. From the depths of sweaty inner cities garages, the five piece hydra built on volume, velocity, and songs written for the people, by the people. Loud, restless, and unapologetic, they channel chaos into something communal and cathartic. Fresh off support slots with The Preatures and Teenage Dads, plus a standout headline appearance at King Street Crawl, Mac the Knife’s live show feels like a high-speed chase through distortion, sweat, and release; all killer, no brakes. Their latest EP Down to the Wire became an instant fan favourite, with breakout track “Icarus” clocking over 2.5 million combined TikTok plays. The release fuelled their biggest tour to date, delivering near sell-out shows across every stop and cementing Mac the Knife as a band built for the stage.
