Adelaide newcomers ‘The Macs’ started out as good mates from high school. Ben, Brodie, Darcy, Liam and Rory used their strong memories together as a platform for songwriting in Brodie’s dad’s shed. Now, The Macs are playing a fresh breed of alternative rock in the local scene. Taking inspiration from Adelaide legends such as Teenage Joans and TOWNS as well as rock icons including Blink-182, Foo Fighters and Spacey Jane; you can trust The Macs to pack a punch. Early this year, The Macs headlined Adelaides renowned venue ‘Lion Arts Factory’ with good mates ‘Don’t Bring Stacey’ and sold out a week prior to the show. The passion for music that lies in the group is incomparable. Each member has their own musical journey, none shorter than 10 years. The Macs have a unique blend of all their musical backgrounds and this can be heard through the creativity in their music. Their debut single ‘The Grand Plan’ is available right here, on Unearthed.
