Maddie Jackway weaves introspective folk storytelling with catchy pop hooks and soulful vocals to create a sonic palette that is uniquely hers.  With vocals reminiscent of Yebba and Adele, Jackway creates music unbound by genre, for over-thinkers and deep-feeling individuals with an authenticity that is hard to ignore.  Since her debut release in 2020 ,Jackway has been busy establishing herself in the Victorian music scene. Notably, she opened for Alex Lahey and The Smith Street Band on The Push All Ages Tour and in the same month, performed as a billed artist at the 2022 Port Fairy Folk Festival.  ‘You Make Me Look Over My Shoulder’ is the lead single off her forthcoming EP. The mid-tempo, pop-r&b-soul track features haunting electronic elements and dissonant vocal harmonies while lyrically detailing being ghosted by someone and the anxiety of when their paths will cross again. The song showcases an evolved sound from the musician and leaves much to anticipate for the new EP.
