Hailing from Adelaide, 3-piece post-grunge band MADWORLD rise from the ashes of highly acclaimed Australian bands such as Mere Theory, Day of Contempt, 28 Days, and The Open Season. Forming in 2013, the band exudes a distinctive style of raw, garage-born, attitude crammed, melodic Australian rock. Taking inspiration from seminal acts like The Foo Fighters, The Pixies, Silverchair, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, INXS, Magic Dirt, and Tumbleweed, the group have also found a revived hunger and vitality from their hard work in their previous bands. Madworld bring something fresh, yet revived to the Australian music scene. Watch out for the release of their debut EP, Fractures produced by the respected engineer Darren Thompson, in February, as well as a bunch of show dates.
