Mae Sta is vocally incomparable with a distinct voice that stands out from the crowd. Though Mae’s journey has been paved with many different experiences like making it to Singapore Idol’s Top 7, working as a radio presenter and performing around Australia and Asia, she has always written music. From the age of 9 when she rhymed almost every song with “you “ and “I feel blue” to refining her song writing skills at the Berklee College of Music, she freely crafts her songs with so much emotion and truth sure to be felt by her audience. Mae is now embarking on her solo endeavour which has attracted reviews such as this: Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Mae Sta came up and introduced herself. And by way of warning intimated that she had not played and sung at the same time before. For her maiden voyage in those uncharted waters she did beautifully. By this point in the program we were getting some more pop acts up but Mae was still pretty mellow so it was an extremely smooth transition.
