Maggie McKaig is an award-wining band leader and composer. A singer who performs on guitar, and accordion, she's recorded 8 albums and led world music quartet Beaucoup Chapeaux since 2009. Her play, Cumberland Suite, is a soulful detailing of the legacy of slavery that connects her own family and the family of Henry Louis Gates Jr. (of PBS “Finding Your Roots”). Photo by LeeAnn Brook.
