Growing up queer in central Queensland mining town singing and playing organ in the church choir and wanting to be the fifth spice girl set the scene for MAÏKEE (my-key) to explore the rich tapestry of music from classical piano masterpieces of the likes of Rachmaninov and Beethoven to traditional jazz greats of Bennet and Connick Jr to the wonders of Glam Rock, Electronica, and the simplicity of a pop hook to now creating a world of his own. His mission is to inspire people's liberation through music and video. MAÏKEE has been Spotify curated playlisted, added to H&M's global store playlist, added to regular rotation on Joy FM (Melbourne) received positive reviews by Australia's Nic Kelly (Project U), Emma Jones (Purple Sneakers) and London based Teases and Dares. MAÏKEE continues to explore the world of contemporary music through love and expression with a new singles and videos being released in 2021.
