Major Bummer woke one evening feeling the same way, and decided to place an ad in the Musicians Wanted section of a local guitar shop. It read: “Own gear own transporting anti-time-wasters request others of similar ilk to simulate Replacements massacring Wilco's 'Being There' with wannabe Malkmus / Mascis team replacing Nels / other guy while the modern day Beach Boys tribute show overdub harmonies from their death beds via a 2003 version of Skype”. One year goes by. No love for The Bummers. All 32 tear-off tabs with landline number still intact. So we decided to go the other way and asked all our guitar playing friends to join instead.
