Malk are a production duo based in Melbourne, Australia. Their debut single Methadone was written, recorded, engineered and mixed in-house at Elysian Fields Studios. Methadone is a 5 minute piece comprised of hypnotic self-made instrumental loops and an intricate layering of rock-orientated arrangements. With influences grounded in releases by Pink Floyd and The Beatles through to more contemporary artists such as DJ Shadow and J Dilla, Malk's work aims to blend the production side of hip-hop with a live band atmosphere. Through wet and hazy waves of sound, Malk's music elicits memories of sodden winter afternoons walking home from school. Malk's debut album is planned for a 2017 release.
