It’s electronic, it’s pop, it’s vibrant. The sound of Australian singer/songwriter Mani Blü. Having grown up performing in theatre and listening to 80s pop music, her musical and visual style began to form. Taking influence from Warhol, Bowie and late 2000s electro pop music, Mani strives to bring art back to dance pop and create an immersive audiovisual experience. Blü has recently opened for Dorian Electra's tour in Melbourne. Part of a new generation of rising pop artists drawing inspiration from the electrified sounds of the 2000s, Bowie and Warhol's influence is all over Blü's work, from her androgynous '80s-inspired visuals to the borderline theatrical flourishes they use to embellish her songs. - Paper Magazine SHE/HER
