Behind the wall of sound created by Many Ions Apart, is Patrick Orriss (Dyasphere, The Black Arts Movement) with his groove laden, low end bass; the unique pairing of Christopher "Frosty" Tar (Tocata) and Ming Ng (Withdisdain) with their down-tuned kaleidoscopic axes of destruction; John Kanisewski (Burn Til Sunrise) with his ever-present dominance and controlled execution behind the kit; and Phil Boath (Eleventh Hour Sindicate) delivering vocals from hauntingly fragile to guturally violent. Many Ions Apart have their musical roots set in metal, but continuously set out to push the envelope and challenge the genre to which they belong. Nomadic and refusing to call any pigeon hole their home, Many Ions Apart chooses to explore - finding comfort in the brutal and the chaotic; the vigour and speed; the groove and clinical precision of their life soundtrack. Following a solid year of writing, Many Ions Apart entered SAE Studios Sydney with Suzanna Dopper to record the demo track
