Moving to the other side of the world was always going to throw up some challenges from Argentinian-Australian singer/songwriter Marcelo De La Vega, but it also sparked a new sense of creativity which he’s set to showcase on his forthcoming debut EP. Having wrapped up three years of touring across Australia, Marcelo was burnt out and questioning his future in the industry. Following a whirlwind stint at the Australian Institute of Music, signing a record deal at the age of 17 in the US and flying out to New York for sessions, almost overnight Marcelo was seemingly living the dream. “I don’t think there was anything that could have stopped me,” Marcelo says, but looking back he describes the whole experience as overwhelming and confusing.
