Formed in the early days of 2016, the Maris King journey began with the simple goal of getting ourselves on stage and bringing the public something new. Ted, Mark and Jc set out from the get go to write music that had a point of difference and with a vast variety of influences and prefered styles, they have ended up here, composing songs that include old school riffs, modern vocal styles, groovy rhythms, poppy choruses and aggressive breakdowns, making each song sound different from the last. With a few lineup changes early on it proved itself difficult to get things rolling at the pace MK was aiming for but that's when Joe stepped in on bass to add yet another different style. After struggling to find a second guitarist, MK decided to move forward as a 4 peice and in early 2017 finally hit the stage, debuting to a near sold out crowd at the Canberra Club (The Underground).
