Martin Howells is a traditional blues musician living on the NSW South Coast. He captures the style of traditional bluesmen such as Mississippi John Hurt, whilst still retaining his own unique approach to the music. An in-demand performer, Martin has played at Broadbeach Blues Festival (Gold Coast), Blues for a Day Festival (Northern NSW), Goulburn Blues Festival and Woodford Folk Festival (Sunshine Coast), among others. He has performed alongside Canned Heat, Vasti Jackson, Backsliders, Ash Grunwald and Jeff Lang. His traditional blues style is adaptable, and you can find him providing entertainment in restaurants, at wine festivals, in busy pubs, or captivating large crowds at music festivals. Martin has been performing in both the UK and Australia since the late 60’s, and brings with him a large amount of experience and talent.
